Remember when we were at our Walkers'que pomp, many people said that a major reason for our success at the time was the influence of Dixie as Asst Manager and Head Coach?
Certainly when Walker returned I think he missed having him, John Faulkner was never quite in the same mould as Dixie, coaching wise!
Don't think its a coincidence that Dixie was coaching at Northampton under Calderwood when they were getting a decent side together-but don't think hes there now, anyone know where he is?
Early days yet, but if Hunter is making his mark, then all well and good, though I shudder to think of him being a possible Manager in waiting as some have suggested-Deehan was a great coach, but as a Manager, he was never the same.
Like I said, far too early to make comparisons or decide if he really has made such an impact, but its an interesting comparison none-the-less.
