Just back and player ratings

That is the best City performance I have seen for two years or so I think, well best since Man Utd win! Passing and movement was superb and looks like its been drilled in to them to keep possession. Key now is to keep it going.

Gallacher - 7 - Thought he could have commanded area better, but clean sheet and two important first half saves.
Colin - 8 - Bets game for City. Defended solidly and got forward to help Croft, even if he looked a little lost when he got there.
Drury - 7 - Usual solid dependeble self, looks a little more assured as captain now
Shackell - 7 - Very strong in air and tackle, kept Nuget quiet
Doherty - 7 - Again very strong and composed. Still see him as a little bit of a liability at times but hopefully can get a good partnership with Shacks developed.
Safri - 7 - Kept the ball well, kept it moving and tackled superbly. Couple of cheeky long shots were good too.
Etuhu - 8 - All-action display from the big man, hopefully he can step up to the mantle this season and push on.
Robinson - 6 - Was not bad at all and played the passing game. Just think with 3 in midfield it may be better to have one whose more attacking.
Croft - 8 - Very impressive. Neat and tidy, good crossing and goes past people, witha few cheeky back-flicks to boot. At last we seem to have a natural RW.
Huckerby - 7 - Ran at people hard, tracked back and showed lots of commitment.
Earnshaw - 7 - What can you say about the little man? Hardly had a sniff all game then comes out with a superb finish. Worked hard to be fair.
SUBS
McVeigh 7 - set up goal nicely and looked lively.
Flem and McKenzie - not enough time to assess.

All in all noone had a bad game and they worked hard for what they made look like an easy win.
