My poor graphics card...

Am having to switch between 1600 x 1200 and 640 x 480 every 2-5 minutes at the mo.

May be me, but it seems to be taking longer each time....is my gfx card getting the hump ? Especially when I'm having to spend most of the time at a retina-searing 640 x 480. On a 21" monitor...
