I've been to loads of gigs over the years but it is still one of THE best and most memorable events I've been to.
True, the sound was awful as the Mersey wind just took it straight up and away from the audience. But people didn't seem to mind that much as everyone knew the songs off by heart anyway and most people were off their heads by the time the Roses came on. The atmosphere was incredible and on the rare occasion I bump into someone else who was also there we reminisce about that time with great fondness.

It was the equivalant of Isle of Wight/Stones in Hyde Park to the '89 baggy generation.
