genius to realise playing 5 against 4 in midfield will result in the 5 man midfield coming out on top.
for me what warrants praise of tactics is going 1 down, rallying the troops getting them fired up and motivated, and making the necessary changes to turn it around. i.e peter taylor yesterday palace against the scum.. the fact is worthless does not and never will have that ability and his players know it.

he lost the dressing room during the prem season and the board have done nothing about it for 3 years. the board are just as much to blame as worthless.
