What has Gerrard being rested for a pointless friendly against Uruguay got to do with Gallas not turning up for a get together that his EMPLOYEES organized?

Of course Rafa would want Gerrard to rest, he was a key player for them last season.

Gerrard still played 30 mins in Liverpool last friendly, while Gallas was sat on his arse in a strop.

If Mourhino thought Gallas needed a rest when they met up, that's up to him to decide, not Gallas.
