Firstly I am a Rangers fan, but one who is sensible enough to know that Scotland needs a strong old firm as well as Hearts and any others that can mount a serious challenge.

But there is one thing that I would not understand if I was a Celtic fan. Mr Strachan says that Celtic need experience and a "presence" up front. Did you not have that in abundance with John Hartson? A proven goalscorer and only 31 I believe. So why let him go for ?600,000 or whatever when it will cost much more to bring in a similar replacement if one can be found. Not to mention Sutton, who seems to have been more or less forced out of the door last season. And Thomson who can't get a game. (If I was him I would regard being brought on for 5 minutes against Everton as an insult.) Do you consider that Mr Dion Dublin would be a suitable replacement given that he was only used to spell Hartson for a few matches last season, or is this just Mr Strachan's way of getting his message over to the board.
