And if that's the going rate for a target man of middling Championship standard, then an unattached Sutton (if the deal is right) would be a lot more cost effective - and lets face it, Howard has no sell on value either - so we could well be getting a much better deal. Plus I see him as a 1 year, 2 year contract maximum, and then that's it. If he can help us get promoted - then we can spend some money on a Premiership quality striker. But we've got to get there first - and he would help in the short term.
