He also wasn't even here when we played in Europe so God knows why you even mentioned that. As for the difference between him and Thorne, well discounting the oceans in class between them & where they've been playing their football for the past decade, how about the fact that Sutton is a proven target man and perfect foil for our little goal getter whilst Thorne is not? Thorne is and always has been a goal poacher, that's it, and unfortunately he's forgotten how to even do that since he's been here.
