Sutton is probably a good option right now.
We seemingly can't get a younger player in that category, we need a "target man".
In the EDP today Munby stated that we could have afforded Halford, but decided it was too much. In other words - the club are wanting someone on the cheap, as usual.
Worthy has stated that it would be "unfair" to say that the problem with signing up Sutton would be financial. Either that means he knows the kind of wages Sutton would want, OR he doesn't know whatsoever.
Either way, It shows a lack of interest in what could be a good move.
It won't be 1993 (or whatever) again. It won't be the second coming of Jesus. He won't be some kind of messiah. BUT he would be a solid player.
A solid player is better that "plan Z" or some bargain panic buy, surely?
I truly think that Worthy's attitude is something along the lines of "He isn't swanning back into this club, who does he think he is 'expecting' just to walk back into Carrow Road!"...
