Based on his comments, Worthy is not the sharpest tool in the box.

With this statement he sets him self up to look like an idiot in several different ways.

If Sutton goes anywhere else, especially a CCC side, and starts scoring goals, he will look like he missed out on a great stiker, on his doorstep, who desperately wants to play for Norwich and is an absolute fans favourite.

Also, if Sutton joins anybody on either a reduced wage 1 year contract, or even worse, a pay as you play deal, then everybody will be asking whether contracting him to norwich was really any big risk at all.

Basically, the only way Worthington will not look a fool, after this staement, is if Sutton goes somewhere else on a long term contract and doesn't score/gets injured quickly. Any other scenario and people will be ramming those words down his throat, with every goal Sutton scores.
