Squiz/Praggers, are you still about?

Applying for a job with Calderdale council based in Halifax, wondering if you locals can give me the lowdown... only time I've been to the area was when I was a nipper and me Dad's car was too crap and knackered to use the motorway so we went cross country from Cambridge to Blackpool!?!
