But the last 100 or so pages, my god!

I try to work my way through "The Classics" as I'm painfully aware I lack much of a literary education. I enjoyed things like Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Beowulf, le Vicomte de Bragelonne, etc. but there's a lot of things I really need to make time for. 1984, for god's sake - I've read many rip-offs but never got around to reading the real thing.
