I usually use

Taiyo Yuden because they are quality but cheap in OZ. When I was in the uk I bought Ritek disks. You will find that they are the best of the cheapest brands around.

If you are burning Films then I would always burn at 4X speed because you get a deeper burn. A film would take about 20-25 minutes to burn on 4X so I would not worry buting expensive 16X speed disks.
