Seriously? Though I really shouldn't feign shock

IMDB shows that a lot of people enjoyed Magnolia. I just can't fathom WHY.

when I gave it back to my mate I said it was a Chickflick, and he said it wasn't. I pointed out that all of the major characters have a prolonged cry in it, and he thought for a minute and said that the coppper hadn't. I reminded him that said copper had blubbed uncontrollably when he'd lost his gun.

It wasn't just that, though: at the start it set out that coincidences occur, and then didn't back it up. The interminable scene where all the characters are singing (ALL OF) the same song along with the radio, separately in their own little f**ked-up worlds, was truly dreadful: what was the director trying to achieve there?

I could go on - safe to say, i really hated that movie.....
