DANNY YOUNG BACK IN TRAINING
The injury plagued Assistant Kit Manager took part in his first training session with his fellow staff members today following a hellish period on the sidelines.
Danny assisted the Kit Manager in just two matches for the Canaries last season after rupturing his hamstring early in the campaign, whilst stretching to hang Adam Drury's shirt on a particularly high peg.
Danny Young, 30, had only arrived at Carrow Road in the summer from Nottingham Forest in a swap deal with Mavis Fussleworth a veteran of some 30 years Assistant Kit Managing.
But the injury saw Young's chances of assisting the Kit Manager limited, with first Cub-Scout Wayne Richards and then odd-job man Reg Hardy brought in to fill the slot.
But Danny was back in training this morning, whilst the City players were put through their paces on the Carrow Road pitch following their annual squad photocall.
City boss Nigel Worthington said it was good to have Danny back but admitted his recovery continued with a degree of caution.
"It was his first morning back with the group again," Worthy told CanariesWorld. "He's joined in the early part of it with some light folding and a bit of stud-tightening and then we had to take him out because we want to build him up nice and steadily.
"The level of training the other lads are at is very intense. But hopefully we can get him through and the next couple of weeks we can go from there and get him picking up discarded socks and ensuring Safri's sock ties have been ironed."
