Law of averages

means if you have 9 clubs in 10 years it isn't that long a shot that you might get promoted with one.
Law of averages also says that if only one of those nine clubs paid a fee for you then you may well be s**t.
Obviously Robinson's prodigious work rate, tenacious tackling, accurant and incisive passing and uncanny knack of scoring vital goals all show that the law of avarages is bollocks.
