Why has Worthie rejected Chris Sutton

a player whose boots the likes of Steve Howard would not be worthy even to lick? He would be the ideal foil for Earnshaw. He is available; he lives locally and he doesnt need the money. Worthie should have signed him just before the palayers returned for pre season training so as to ensure his fitness. We could surely have offered him ?4000-?5000 a week with incentive bonuses based on performance; games played; assists; goals etc. Now its probably too late ( unless he has been training properly elsewhere).
