Worthy "doesn't want to bring in players who are no better than what we've got,"

but sometimes "different" can be as good as "better." It's not always down to the quality of the individuals but to the mixture in the formation / team / squad as a whole. Most teams in the Championship have a couple of stars that the rest would want, but beyond that they are all pretty even in terms of quality: some work out ways of getting the very best from the bunch they've got, and some don't. A signing of any kind gives both the players and the fans the idea that the mix is being worked on, and even if the new player is not a star, it may do some good...
