I admit that at time he is exceptional to watch

but to put in the same league as Pele and Maradona (as many have been doing the last few weeks) is absurd. I would imagine that over the last 10 years there have been many, many players that have better goalscoring and assist records than Zidane, who, for all his poise and gracefulness, does often fail to deliver.

I'd take someone more unsung, but more direct, like Nedved or Pirlo than Zidane anyday.

He hasn't won all that much in his club career with all things considered - most of what he has won is laced in corruption nowadays anyway!
