Good afternoon all! Happy Monday. Philippe Clement will join us shortly to preview Norwich City's trip to Derby tomorrow night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
PC on Watford debrief - "I think there were a lot of positives. The negative was the two goals conceded. The team started well on the front foot; then, one kick deep, they were in front of our goal. I know Myron (Boadu) from Monaco, and I warned them he is good in front of goal one-on-one."
Oscar Schwartau is available for selection. Pelle Mattsson and Kenny McLean will need to be assessed tomorrow.
Papa Amadou Diallo is set to be back in a few weeks. He is back on the grass doing individual work at the moment.
PC on Andre Brooks - "Because of the injury to Papa Diallo, Andre is playing more minutes than expected or than he ever has before. Ante Crnac as well is coming back from a long injury, so he isn't up to speed yet. But that is why Lucien (Mahovo) is a solution and is showing good things."
PC on Andre Brooks - "He never in his career until now has played as many minutes as he has now in this period. Is his level always consistently high? There are ups and downs, but he is getting better."
PC on Jose Cordoba's form - "You can say that about every player in the defence. We got fewer points than we deserved and wanted at the start of the season, so they want to win every duel and ball. That means they rush more. That's why it's good they won these last two games to help their confidence."
Philippe Clement doesn't feel Jose Cordoba's struggles are valid with having to play at the World Cup during the summer.
PC on Paris Maghoma's celebrations - "I'm surprised, up until now, why every question is something negative. You can speak about what went wrong rather than all these postives. I spoke to Paris about those, it is nothing special. When he scores again, which hopefully can be tomorrow, he will celebrate."
PC on midfield duo - "Jacob is making really good steps. I praised Sam Field and Mathias Kvistgaarden after the game in the dressing room. Sam hasn't played much this season behind Kenny and Pelle, but he was there in the moment when the team needed him. He proved that last season too."
PC on Derby County - "They are not in a good spot, but it is a team with quality. There manager has a lot of quality and is a nice guy. This club was in a difficult moment last season. That can cause negative feelings among the fans and in the dressing room. They are like a wounded animal, but we need to be aware of that."
PC on Derby's small margins in home games - "For sure, we know that. We need to play a big game there to get the three points and make it three consecutive wins in a row. We need to assess how fresh we are going into this game and make decisions."
PC on Shane Duffy - "I loved my period with Shane. He had a tough period with injuries, and it wasn't his best period in the club. He was brilliant in the dressing room and stayed positive. He was always supporting the team behind the dugout like the biggest fan in the club. It's a good challenge for him, and having this structure in his life."
PC - "If you are first in the league, all the stories are positive; if not, people try to find negatives in every word or body language of the players. My players need to learn that."
1700 Norwich fans set to travel tomorrow night. Top effort!
