a most excellent post. there's a place called velika gorica by zagreb airport

you have to drive through it to get to the airport and the word velika always struck me as a descriptive word and it turned out that it meant greater and Gorica means little hill/s. further rudimentary lingosleuthering led me to discover that Velika Britanija was Great Britain in serbo-croat. the s**t i carry around in my noggin is unreal.
