I guess we hoped to progress further in the League Cup

So he would start more. Hopefully the FA Cup draw is kind so he can start then, too.
But he is very young, with limited English. We've seen before it takes young players a while just to settle in a new country, so even if he's not getting game time, just getting used to living here, becoming settled and the normal club training will all help
