just a flying visit to donate some old s**t my father in law had, tools and whatknot. anyway never been in a men's shed before so here's the after action report from my recce;
the shed itself is massive, think small warehouse. it has electric roller doors, that's a massive tick in the box there for me clive. i'd imagine they would come into there own if the menly men made a giant glider to escape when the shtf.
the geezer in charge of manly men operations is very old but affable enough. reassuringly enough he had a very solid manly name; "john", no f**king about with excessive syllables there.
there's an allotment outside tended by two menly men, one's leaning on a hoe and the other manly man is sat perched on a raised bed supping a brew. in the man shed there's another old boy varnishing a wooden chair, proper old school manly brown linen apron on, all that was missing was a pipe.
the allotment slash garden is mostly taken up by a bank of solar panels so i'm guessing they are using that manly electric to brew up etc. good drills.
all the other manly men are in the refreshments shed which is off to the side in a seperate shed with steamed up windows. wet finger in the air estimate of 6 manly men partaking of a naafi break.
the shed is open for manly business three days a week 10.00-13.00 hours tue, thu & sat. subs are £10 per manly month by standing order, you can attend as much or as little as you like. manly man operations director did offer me a tour of the shed and a mugged hot beverage but i politely declined as i had already decided that this type of world wasn't for me. i'm not knocking it though as i reckon the menly men mental health benefits are what it is all about, big up the men.
so, that's the skinny on my testosterone packed manly man shed news for today.
