Tactical so they couldn’t counter us and …

Probably an element of protecting Makama and his lack of fitness at the moment. Clement said to Paddy on Friday if Makama started he couldn’t finish so presumably wasn’t planning to give him 90 minutes . He probably lasted longer as a consequence of not pressing. He also said pre game Pompey were excellent at passing out from back so def a tactical instruction.
