Man City NBTTB

They won't get relegated to the EFL or even non-league because those levels will simply refuse to accept them because it would cause too much carnage as they'd have to accommodate them by adjusting promotion / relegation systems, opening them up to litigation from teams already there.

They won't be fined anywhere near a level that would be painful because it is simply impossible with the funds sitting behind them, and the appeal would go on for the remainder of my lifetime and cost the Premier League more than they will gain.

They won't get a points deduction of 70-80 points which is what would be needed for relegation, because it would be a precedent that would need to be invoked for one team or another almost every season.

The Premier League know that Man City can afford the best lawyers known to man, and if hit too hard will drag this out for a decade with appeals, costing the PL even more money than they can afford, while Man City can comfortably manage it.

Therefore, theyy will get a fine that seems large to us, but is lower than some transfer fees they have paid. They will get a points deduction of 25-30 points that means they have to gain points at champions' level to get into the Europa Cup, which they will. They will get a transfer ban which they will appeal against and win, missing only one, or half of one window (which is what always happens).

They'll find somebody we've never heard of to resign over this, who will of course be looked after for the inconvenience.

I believe the correct term to add to this is BMTP.
