Wider questions need to be asked about the Man City

finances. Are the EPL complicit in all this? They have many questions to andwer. Why have Man City got away with cheating for so long? Why do they allow owners who clearly aren’t Fit and Proper? Surely it brings into question the way the EPL works and the effect it’s had on the rest of British football. It’s time for an independent body to oversee the running of the game with much stricter ownership and financial rules to try and restore some sort of financial and competitive balance.
