I don’t think it’s a good idea

There are lots of practical objections - constant interruption of people getting out and coming back in (this happens all the time at Twickenham and it’s bloody annoying). Inevitable spillages mean slops all over the floor (Twickenham again).

Then there are behavioural objections too. Alcohol does make people (young men in particular) more aggressive. Beer will get thrown around by people who think that’s funny (see The Darts).

I love a beer and there are some quiet, long lasting sports like cricket where it’s fine. Not footy for me, Brian.
