Suspect politics? Joy Division or The Ruts?

As I recall they played a lot of anti-racist gigs - part of Rock Against Racism I think - or was that later?

It was BSE Canary who thought that; but it was Ian Curtis who hung himself. The names Joy Division and New Order come from Nazism of course, but I don't think that said anything about their politics.
