for it to be accurate it would need to include an index of all players

that takes into account their scoring ability from all areas of the pitch. for example Messi is more likely to score from each position than Matej Jurasek. If Messi shoots from 16 yards out his Xpg should be higher than Jurasek for that shot. Or does it do this already?
