Yeah, he looked a different player in his purple patch

to the one either before or since. Maybe teams have got wise to him and now crowd him out. He loses possession a lot, especially with his back to goal. If his little flicks and first-time through balls don't work then he hasn't got the legs to beat a man and get away.
