I asked the same question the other day.

Some financially astute person explained it to me.

Basically through parachute money and commercial revenue (attached to arguably the biggest music star in the world) they tread the line well.

Their owners are multi billionaires who equip their club with the tools to achieve within financial means. The ambition is sizeable.

Mental that I’m in the south west of the country at the moment and I’ve seen more Ipswich shirts than any other clubs and they are not all from East Anglia.
