Take three matchsticks

Cut two in half, discard one of the halves so you are left with one whole and three half mathsticks.

Place the three half matchsticks on the ground paralell to each other and glue the whole matchstick on top, leaving about half of it free, so that what you end up with is a whole matchstick with three cross-beams starting about half way up, giving six "arms" arranged in pairs.

Stick the free end of the whole matchstick in the ground.

Catch an ant. Superglue one leg to each arm, preferably without killing it straight away.

This will set an example to the others who won't ever come back.

Or, lay a length of gaffer tape upside down so the ants walk on to it and get stuck. Leave them struggling for a bit pur encourager les autres.
