The opening away match 'press news in' of the season...

Good afternoon, everyone. Back at Colney for today's press conference. Philippe Clement will join us shortly.
-------------------------------------------------------------

PC on Heggebo ban - "I think the league creates its own problems by not having VAR. In real time it goes fast that human errors are made."

*Philippe Clement is currently listing us every country in the world that has VAR off a list of paper. There are too many for me to list, haha. We are now up to Peru and Qatar.*

PC - "It is madness to me there is no VAR in the Championship. This is not going to change, that everybody is going to stop VAR. If you want a more honest game, then you need VAR."

PC - "In a league like this one there is VAR in the play-offs, but for 46 games there is not. I do not understand why there is not VAR. Lots of friends from Europe sent me messages this week after the clip went viral. There are probably people in Venezuela laughing saying we have a better league as have VAR."

PC on officials - "Yes. The rules are decided after an amount of time you can speak about it (to the officials), but I couldn't show the image then. In the end you cannot have a discussion about things, so it creates more frustration."

PC - "There are really positive things done with the rules on throw-ins and goalkeepers not wasting time, so we get an honest game of football. People don't want to see goals like this that causes frustration between managers, referees and fans. It's not a good thing."

PC on Matej Jurasek - "I'm sure he will be strong. He knew people wouldn't love the situation. You get that here if players go from Norwich to Ipswich or visa versa. But if they start scoring goals it changes."

*PC confirms it was the recruitment team that identified Anthony Musaba rather than to do with his personal relationship with him.*

PC on Musaba - "He is a different person and player now from our time in Monaco. It's somebody with speed and good action one-on-one. He is strong with both feet and can play on the left and right. The good thing is, I knew him as a person."

PC - "We were happy to see each other again. It's not easy as I put him out on loan after a month (at Moncao), but he knows he wasn't ready back then."

*PC confirms Anthony Musaba will be in the matchday squad tomorrow.*

*PC corrects Paddy on how to say Darlin Yongwa's name. He says the players just call him Dave.*

PC on recruitment - "You cannot give them ambitions that are not realistic. All of these pieces fitted together, so we could convince them to come here."

*PC confirms that will be it for incomings at senior level*

PC on Crnac/Yongwa - "Darlan is ready to take minutes now if necessary. Ante not yet. He done well in the internal games, but we need to be captious with him as he was out for 10 months. They are different stories as Darlan just missed pre-season."

PC - "Everybody last week is available again this week."

PC on Millwall - "A lot of respect for them. We know it will be a tough game. They have a lot of quality and an experienced manager in this league. He was really good after the game (in April), so a lot of respect for him."

PC - "Every game of football we need to go for three points and impose ourselves. If it's home or away it should make no difference."

PC on first run of games - "We know there is no group in the world that is at their best level yet, that will come later in the season. We don't need to think about those things. It's about getting the most out of where everybody is right now."

PC - "There will always be bumps in the road. There is some things we cannot control like this first goal against West Brom. Those things happen and you need to focus again and set your mind on the next game."

DD - "I am indeed the cheekiest of s**tes CWC and yes it is xx."

--------------------------------------------------------------

That's all Philippe Clement for today, we head to Millwall for a MASSIVE match tomorrow, otbc.
