My personal background is lower middle class, not wealthy at all but very stable.
I’ve used that background to do ok for myself, I don’t need to worry about money and I want to ensure my kids don’t have to worry about money.
I also don’t want my kids to work hard in life but be artificially held back due to pitying somebody else who is less suitable but ticks boxes.
I don’t feel this is unreasonable but I suspect SD probably will!
