I think owning a stake adds some weight albeit minimal

Larger shareholder bullying small shareholders etc is always a useful publicity tool.
I fear the supporters trust now risks dwindling into an irrelevance.
Things may appear to be well run now and fans are happy but that could change as we have seen with football clubs many times.
A strong supporter voice and organisation is extremely important.
