It seemed to me that a high proportion of people were casual supporters.

Nothing wrong with that but few people would choose to sit in the Snakepit if a non-regular attendee, negotiating that obstructive post, given how easy it was to get seats in places with better sight lines.

Overall the atmosphere was quite weird, with more of a pre-season vibe than a serious league match.
