There's a hotel here which is known to hold asylum seekers

You never seen any trouble, if you pass it you just see groups of different ethnic persuasions round the back of the hotel as they probably get s**t bored being in their rooms all the time.

I went in the shop that backs onto thevhotel other day and when I went by a man was flat out on the pavement.

When I left the security guard from the shop was stood over him. I saw the ambulance crew not urgently around him either. He had obviously passed away.

Whatever anyone thinks about the state of the world this whole episode stuck with me.

He probably struggled to get away from whatever situation
Probably doesn't know anybody hear
And noe he's perished.

Amongst the backdrop of "they get 5k as soon as they land on our shores" or whatever bulls**t people spread, that dude just went to get a bottle of water from the shop and didn't make it back to his waiting cell.

Just made me feel cold
