I’m reading Broken Dreams by Tom Bower currently

It’s a few years old now but an interesting read and covers the (alleged) dodgy practices of football in the past.
The agent Rune Hauge gets a mention. Back in the 1990s he would sell Scandi players to the Premier League but would trouser huge margins as Scandi clubs sold very cheaply and Prem clubs were naive about this.
Call me very cynical but how on earth did we pay £6.7m for Jurasek?
He was never worth this (see also Crnac).
We will never know the truth but it would be interesting to see how much we actually paid, and how much found its way to agents.
