Brazil's 4-1 victory over Italy in the final featured one of the most iconic team goals in football history

The tournament showcased attacking football, legendary players, and was the first World Cup broadcast in colour worldwide.

🥈 2. Mexico 1986

The Diego Maradona World Cup.

Maradona produced perhaps the greatest individual tournament ever.

Included both the "Hand of God" and the "Goal of the Century" against England.
Finished with a thrilling 3-2 final against West Germany.

🥉 3. Qatar 2022
The best of the modern era.

Lionel Messi completed his career by winning the World Cup.

The final between Argentina and France is widely considered the greatest World Cup final ever, ending 3-3 before Argentina won on penalties.

Packed with drama, shocks (including Morocco becoming the first African nation to reach a semi-final), and outstanding football.

Other favourites include:
