Versus Argentina and Spain.

Look at Spain, look at what they did vs France when they went ahead. Yeah, they replaced two world class midfielders with two other world class midfielders. And they say in front of Rodri. Then they continued to boss the game. No s**t.

What have we got? What was Tuchel supposed to bring in to take it to them? Rashford has done very little. Saka isn’t fit. Mainoo?

What Spain did was unbelievable, but they did it because they have an astounding squad, not just a couple of world class players. Argentina just did us because they have an incredible midfield. “We should have thrown on three players and gone after them.”. They’d have destroyed us.

We lost to a manifestly superior team who pummelled us like nobody else has this tournament from the moment they went behind. The level they could go to was far far beyond anything we have shown throughout the tournament.

I feel sad that we lost, but we lost to a team that proved far superior. What can you do?
