i did, the thing is you can stlll use mains water to water your garden just not with a

hosepipe so watering can or bucket or soup ladle is all good.

i'm hyper excited as my DAB DTRON 3 35/90 WRAS pump is arriving today to bung down my garden well so i can set up a dual system to auto top up my pond and set up an irrigation system to water the veg patch and herb garden all controlled via an app.

i've angle grinded out the old inspection hatch for the well head and will cement bed in a new fibreglass steel reinforced hatch over the top of the opening to futureproof it. then get the pump properly installed with an rcd and pop the housing back over the lot of it and it's all good to go. it's taken me a while but what a lovely little project.
