Ball’s flight was not affected by a slight touch on a hair, then you are categorically proving that the ensuing situation would have presented whether or not that slight touch happened or not. It’s 100% objective. Does it have any influence on what happened next?

You do have to build in some subjectivity into the window you give for the effect as physics dictates that any slight touch will have some tiny effect however minor - perhaps only becoming evident in a vacuum after a mile of travel - but once a sensible tolerance is established it is no longer subjective.
