One of the core principles of football for decades was that the same rules applied at every level of the game. It was the same sport whether you played on the park or at Wembley.

VAR has changed that for the worse IMHO.

The brushing of the hair was inconequential and indiscernable and the quest for some kind of rule purity robbed us of a memorable world cup moment.
