The only answer you'll get is the "we can't stop it on our own" one

Which firstly implies that the UK is no longer capable of leading and shaping global opinion, which is a shame and also inaccurate IMHO.

There is no actual answer, other than ignore it and say "it won't be my problem" which I hear frighteningly often from parents & grand parents.

At some point, something serious will occur that cannot be ignored, at which point it will all be someone else's fault that nothing was done.
