Adapt our resources, agriculture, tourism etc, to adjust to the new climate. Grow grapes, bananas, and so on, encourage development of seaside resorts like Benidorm in deprived coastal towns, promote Britain as a different kind of destination, develop cities by planting more trees and parks to keep cool and try to create a short term boom.

That would be my approach, were I of the opinion that the outside world can burn as long as we’re ok, which I’m not. But, assuming that any ecological measures are to be only redemptive and not preventative, that’s the kind of thinking I would be doing. Of course, there’s also, f**k it all, I’ll be dead soon anyway, but I don’t like thinking like that.
