Pants' point is that he wasn't defeated by a major scandal. The post I've shared, and which is articulated by many others down below, is that the vitriol aimed at him is waaay out of proportion to his actual conduct and achievements as PM.

That has nothing to do with any policy mistakes he may have made which contributed to his downfall.
