Difficult to make any pace during the day

Too much traffic, and folks pootling along at 65 in the fast lane.

Let alone the overcautious variable speed limits that seem to slow you to 40 when there is nothing on the roads.

Don't get me started on smart motorways. That end up perm 50 limits they are so dangerous.

But hey at least we aren't Wales - 50 MPH as soon as you cross the Charles Bridge, and 20 MPH all over the place.
