I’ve always imagined that they must have had some sort of ongoing aches and pains as the rear of their Mini (old type) was pushed in up to the front seats. I was in my dad’s company car, Mk1 Sierra 1.6 (Laser I think) that was written off. My friend in the passenger seat had time to put his feet up on the dashboard to soften the blow.( ended up giving him back ache) obvs no ABS Or airbags then.
