When I popped up on here after a long absence, you brought it up, and fair enough, but

perhaps the main reason I posted far less on here after 2010, and gradually stopped entirely for years, was because I was worried about things I'd posted on here in the mid-2000s being used to torpedo my career. I thought about asking Ben to remove my account entirely but decided against it - I actually don't think there's anything too bad in the archive but obviously the worry made it impossible to post on here in the way I used to.

Luckily, two things have made it possible to come back. One, the format of this site is so impenetrable to outsiders that finding anything specific from more than a few days ago is basically impossible. Two, the incredibly well-funded far-right campaign to remove trans people from public life and strip us of our rights means I've got far bigger things to worry about than what I post on here ...
